Architect-led Revit documentation for renovation and restoration projects: I model the building as it stands, then document the design on top of it. Remote, working in your template and central model.
Existing buildings rarely match their plans: walls are out of square, floors change level, and the openings you need to keep are not where the survey says. I am a licensed architect with 20+ years of built work, and a good part of it is restoration and renovation of older buildings in Buenos Aires, including a late-19th-century “chorizo” house and a first-floor home in a century-old building in San Telmo.
That experience is what I bring to the model: what to question in the source data, what to flag for field verification, and how to organize the existing-conditions model so the design team can work from it. Of my 176 projects (1998–2026), 74 included existing-conditions / scan-to-BIM work.
A Revit model of the building as it stands, built from the point clouds, survey CAD, photos and field measurements your team sends. The inputs are described in Existing Conditions / Scan-to-BIM.
Existing plans, sections and elevations documented from the model, with room and area information taken from it when needed.
The proposed work modeled over the existing conditions, so the design team works from one coordinated model instead of two separate sets of drawings. See Revit Modeling.
Permit and bid sets built from the same model. See Construction Documents.
BIM documentation:
Built restoration and renovation (as the architect, Buenos Aires):
I work remotely from Buenos Aires, so I do not capture data on site: scanning, measuring and site verification are done by your team or a local provider, and I model from what you send. A model is only as reliable as its source data, so where the data is unclear I mark the assumption for field verification instead of guessing.
My restoration experience is as the architect on built projects, not as a heritage-conservation specialist. Heritage listings, conservation rules, permit applications and the licensed professional who signs and seals the documents stay with your team and local consultants.
Tell me about your project and I will send a time and price range, typically within one business day. No obligation, no long-term contract.
