Restoration, renovation, and functional redesign of a first-floor home on Humberto Primo street in the City of Buenos Aires.

The main interventions were carried out in the bathrooms and kitchen, since homes of this type — over a hundred years old — did not have the amenities modern life requires.

Full restoration of floors and openings, salvaging and recovering all of the original pieces. The original plaster ceilings, which had been demolished by previous owners, were recreated. The bathrooms received a complete renovation, from the plumbing to the floors and travertine finishes.

A full ducted air-conditioning system was installed, taking advantage of the space between the ceilings and the roof structure. The kitchen area was completely redesigned, including a new stairway leading up to the terrace.

The property has 170 m² on the first floor and 120 m² in the terrace area, with 45 m² uncovered — a total of 290 m² covered and 45 m² uncovered.
